MStim Drop LGT-233
The MStim Drop LGT-233 is a wearable foot drop device, consisting mainly of a stimulation unit, the mobile MStim Drop app, , electrodes and a bandage to attach it to the leg.
Using the principle of FES, Intended to provide dorsiflexion of the ankle in adult and pediatric individuals who have foot drop following an Upper Neuromotor System injury or disease. During the swing phase of gait, electrically stimulates the muscles of the affected lower leg to provide dorsiflexion of the foot. May improve gait, facilitate muscle reeducation, prevent or delay disuse atrophy, maintain or increase the range of motion of the joints, decrease pain and increase local blood flow.
It has two modes of treatment, training mode and walking mode.
Walking mode is an electrical stimulation performed while walking to restore neuromotor function.; Can help maintain a normal gait when walking, stimulate walking and repeated training will leave imprints on the cerebral cortex. At the same time, will feed back to the central nervous system and restore the neuromotor function of the brain.
Training mode is the transition from passive training to walking training for patients who cannot perform active training. This mode can be selected for sitting or lying muscle training, to accelerate muscle recovery, delay atrophy of the injured calf, maintain and improve range of motion in the ankle and improve local blood circulation.
